Vibration measurement is performed according to the industrial standards.
Every day we experience various vibrations. The measurement and analysis methods of vibrations vary depending on the purpose of the measurement, which can include not only the severity but also the situation and time of occurrence of the vibration.
Nihon Onkyo Engineering provides acoustic measuring tailored specifically to the needs of customers.
In addition, we are registered as a certified company for vibration measurement officially.
Vibration measurement at factory
Factories where generates excessive vibrations are required to comply with regulations for vibration generated from the factory on the site boundary. The type of machines included in these regulations are defined by the applicable laws.
Vibration Regulation Law-related measurement (for civil and construction work)
Civil and construction work activities are known to generate excessive vibration. Vibration measurement may be necessary for such work on the construction site boundary.
Measurement of subway vibrations for analysis of subway noise (structure-borne noise)
Subway vibration measurements are performed even during planning for construction of music halls, housing complexes (apartment buildings) and hotels, and offices if the planned construction area is near subway line. Frequency characteristic analysis is required as a measurement within the subway noise (structure-borne noise) analysis process.
Equipment vibration measurement
When mechanical noise (equipment noise) is heard from facility equipment rooms through with walls and ceilings (or floors), sometimes it is difficult to determine the noise transmission path, whether the noise is transmitted as the air-borne or the structure-borne by vibrations. In such cases, Nihon Onkyo Engineering measures the sound pressure level in the equipment room and in the room where the noise is heard as well as the vibrational acceleration level of the floors, walls, ceilings, etc. The sound pressure level difference between rooms is also measured, if possible.
These results are analyzed to determine whether the noise is transmitted through air or by vibrations, allowing for more appropriate countermeasures.
Floor impedance measurement
In order to ascertain the vibration characteristics of a building, the driving-point impedance and transmission impedance are measured. Driving-point impedance is a measurement performed in order to check the vibrational difficulty at the point of the structure and to check the resonance frequency. With driving-point impedance, the excitation point and the response point should be as identical as possible. Vibration is applied using a hammer with a built-in force detector, and the driving-point impedance is obtained by measuring the vibration velocity close to the excitation point.
