Nihon Onkyo Engineering's simulation software is based on an improved algorithm with accuracy verified through actual measurement, experimental results, and other factors. In addition to our general-purpose simulator--which operates according to geometric sound based on calculated capacities and the spatial size of the analysis target--we also develop and analyze software capable of performing more sophisticated wave acoustic analysis using the finite difference method and boundary element method (BEM).

GEONOISE noise-prediction software

This software is designed to predict noise. GEONOISE is able to perform high-accuracy analysis of the three-dimensional paths of reflected sound and diffracted sound. Prediction accuracy has been verified through various means, including comparison of measured values and model experiments. Providing analysis for a variety of applications, including factory noise control, environmental impact assessment compliance for large-scale retail store location laws and other regulations, and prediction of railway and road traffic noise, GEONOISE has received high praise from users.

RIMAGE room acoustic design support software

Diagram of sound rays within a hallRIMAGE is designed for designing room acoustics. By entering the 3D shape of the room, the software can provide accurate calculations of even higher-order reflections. In addition to reverberation time, RIMAGE can also be used to predict acoustic physical indicators such as D (Deutlichkeit) values and C (Clarity) values. Sonification is also possible through convolution processing.
