Actual sound recording device (SR-90) is a hard disk recording system that records the signal waveform of the noise event. In combination with aircraft noise discriminator (Type-I), it can record only the actual sound of an aircraft noise. It is an effective method in the case of unattended monitoring where aircraft noise levels are not always louder than non-aircraft noise or loud non-aircraft noise events are occasionally observed.

- Because the sound file format is the general-purpose wave format, you can reproduce and listen to the sound by using a PC.
- Waveform actual sound data can be acquired through a telephone line or a network in addition to a removable media.
- By using a custom software for judging whether an aircraft noise or not, you can listen to the actual sound of the target noise event as you look at the noise level/time graph.
